As an ambitious player, I have learned a few important lessons while playing over the decades. Regardless if you prefer to wagering at the ‘bricks and mortar’ type or the many net casinos. The following are my all important rules of betting, many of which might be looked at as common sense, but if abide by they will help you go a long distance to departing with money in your account.

Rule 1: Go into a casino with a determined sum that you are ready and are able to afford to bet – How much would you spend for an evening out on food, beers, entrance fees and tips? This is an excellent sum to use.

Rule two: Do not carry your debit card with you – or any other means of getting cash out. Don’t worry about cash for the cab if you throw away all of it; most taxi operators, notably the cabs hailed by casinos, will take you to your house and are more than happy to wait for the moolah when you get back.

Rule 3: Stick to your predetermined threshold. I always envision what I would love to buy should I win. The previous time I went, I concluded I’d quite love to buy a new Media Player which cost around $400, so that was my set limit. As soon as I reached this number, I quit. Just walk away. Even if Clairvoyant Carla herself gives you the upcoming number for the roulette wheel, ignore her and quit. Head out safe in the knowledge that you will be going into the mall and getting a great new toy!

Rule four: Have a good time. When you are "buzzing" you usually will profit. It’s a fact. I don’t know how, but it just is. Once it becomes a burden, or you are just playing to make $$$$ you have lost, you usually will fritter away even more. When you are profiting, experiencing an excellent time with your friends, or your girlfriend, you will gain more and more.
